The Williamsport Wrestling Club was created in 1973 and has been fielding a Junior Wrestling Team every season since.
The purpose of WWC is:
1. To promote, support and develop amateur wrestling in the community;
2. To foster the ideals of sportsmanship through participation, competition, and fellowship;
3.To improve the degree of amateur wrestling by providing coaching, facilities, and competition.
Folkstyle/Scholastic Wrestling is the type of wrestling which is primarily taught by the coaches and staff of WWC and is the same type of wrestling done at the high school and college levels.
The Williamsport Wrestling Club is a member of the Mason-Dixon Wrestling League. The Mason-Dixon Wrestling League consists of a total of Eighteen (18) teams within a forty- (40) minute radius of Williamsport Maryland.
